DebbieEvans2Deborah Gale Evans concentrates her practice on complex financial services litigation with particular emphasis on securities litigation and securities arbitrations.  She represents clients nationwide in SEC investigations and other regulatory actions, including multi-agency investigations and prosecutions.  Ms. Evans represents and advises national and regional financial services firms, broker-dealers, insurance companies, their officers, and individual registered representatives in all types of securities-related matters, including arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the American Arbitration Association.  Ms. Evans also represents broker-dealers and other financial services institutions in a wide variety of employment and ERISA matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Prior to joining Michaels, Ward & Rabinovitz, Ms. Evans gained a broad range of securities and commercial litigation experience at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Boston and Alston & Bird LLP in Atlanta, where she defended publicly and privately-held companies as well as individual officers and directors in a variety of complex litigation matters, including securities class actions and shareholder derivative suits.  Ms. Evans gained additional securities litigation experience at Berman DeValerio Tabacco Pease Burt & Pucillo in Boston, where she represented a variety of institutional shareholders in securities class actions.

Ms. Evans received her J.D. in 1995 from the Boston University School of Law and her B.A. in 1989 from Emory University.  She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and Georgia.  Ms. Evans is active in the community and serves or has served as a member of the Planning Committee for the National Association of Women Lawyers Annual Awards Luncheon, a member of the School Site Council for the Warren-Prescott Elementary School, the Town Liaison for the Charlestown Youth Soccer Association, an Age Director for the Middlesex Youth Soccer League, and a Board member for the Charlestown Mothers Association.  She is also a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA)—Compliance and Legal Division and the National Association of Women Lawyers.
